Service - Implementation
During the evaluation period, non-registered users receive the
same free services. We do ask, however, that you register before
starting the accounting and payroll changeover...so that we can
closely support that process.

your questions. Depending on your needs, we can make the visit shorter

review product literature
We will walk you through the software.
It's not a training session, but you'll get a good orientation.
Then, we'll spend some time on your questions. With that done, we'll
leave you with product literature...that will address areas we might
not have covered. At that point, you'll leave you alone with your
thoughts. Our philosphy is to let the product sell itself...so you'll
probably only get one phone call...a couple weeks after the on-site
visit.
Discuss special
needs and requirements
If you are interested in the product,
you will want to consider any special needs and requirements. Everyone
has a few. We'll work with you to make sure we're addressing all
your needs. This may be done on-site...or by telephone.
Review and accept
software agreement
When you are ready to proceed, you
just need to review and accept the software agreement...so that
we can get started.
Review implementation
plan
The software does not automatically
implement itself. It would be nice...but, it doesn't. After conferring
with you, we will plan and schedule the implementation. We'll talk
about data conversion, software installation, software configuration,
and training. The plan will be detailed
and scheduled.
Convert data
(if applicable)
If data is going to be converted, it will likely happen
at this point. Data conversions could take different forms...depending
on the software you've been using...what you want to achieve...and,
of course, cost considerations.
On-site installation,
configuration and training
We will install the software...and then configure
it to your special requirements. This will include the following
kinds of configurations:
- Configuring the insurance billing program, so that the HCFA's
are properly formatted for the different insurance companies.
- Entering the provider agreements, so that correct provider numbers
appear on the Hcaf.
- Setting up provider fee schedules, so that new sessions default
to an appropriate fee for the service and provider entered.
- Setting up service categories
- Configuring the client statements to have the appearance you
want.
- Configure user preferences
We will configure the system, between training sessions. All new
users receive 8 hours of free support. There will be 4 two-hour
training sessions, over two days. There will be at least two hours
between sessions, so that you can practice what you've learned before
the next session. Here is how we organize the training.
- Day 1 - Morning - Entering a new intake
- Day 1 - Afternoon - Entering sessions, payments and E.O.B.'s
- Day 2 - Morning - Billing and followup
- Day 2 - Afternoon - Review and loose ends
Get help as you need it
Summit-Edge is a comprehensive, powerful
and full-featured system. Although you'll get the hang of it right
away, there will be many questions in the first few months. We suggest
the following steps when you have questions.
Click on the "?" button for
help. It is context sensitive, so it will bring up all kinds of
information about the form you are in. You should check the help
screens frequently...for the following reasons:
- You get immediate help.
- You will discover new features in the software.
- It becomes an educational program...that allows you to completely
master the software.
